
Join us for the Junior Thespian Day, at the Colorado Convention Center.
A day filled with active theatre workshops designed especially for middle school students workshops. The workshops will be presented in a round-robin fashion, so that students can experience all of the guest artists that are brought in to instruct students on the numerous aspects of the theatre arts.
Teachers in attendance are able to sign up for graduate level credit offered through the University of Northern Colorado.
The $35 per student Junior Thespian Day registration fee, will include all workshops and performance events. Lunch is on your own, schools are encouraged to make use of the numerous food opportunities on the 16th Street Mall or you can pack a lunch. Please be advised due to contract rules with the Colorado Convention Center, outside food & beverage cannot be consumed on the CCC property. There are numerous categories included in the middle school individual events: Duet Acting, Solo Musical, Duet Musical, and Group Musical. Students not participating are encouraged to watch these individual event selections as they are being adjudicated for their educational value. Students are limited to signing up for only one event, there is a $20 fee for the Individual Events per participant. All Individual Events must not exceed the five minute time limit, students will be stopped at the end of their time limit. Monologues are limited to three minutes.
